07.14.10 The Slump and the Return
Friends and Fans:
As some of you may already know, we, the band, were involved in an accident on Memorial Day. While heading down to do some fishing in Evergreen, with Brian and Robbie in one car and Jesse, Jeri, and I in another, we were passed by a drunk driver. Said driver proceeded to collide with oncoming traffic, and, subsequently, Brian and Robbie’s vehicle. Our car was luck enough to miss being hit by driving into a ditch.
While Jesse, Jeri, Robbie, and I walked away unscathed, Brian was hospitalized for several weeks, and is still doing daily rehabilitation (though he is now sleeping at home). Despite having had a severe head injury, Brian is recovering remarkably well; it seems like he’ll be back on the stick in no time. We have been the subject to unbelievable support from many of you, and I assure you, we are so grateful to know you all.
So, with tragedy behind us, we are moving ahead. The record is completed, mastered, wrapped, done, finished… However, we’re waiting to release it until Brian is fully recovered, and we’re fully rehearsed again. You can expect a fall release at this point, and we’ll make sure to keep you updated as things progress over here.
Thank you once again, from all of us, for your continued support.
Nate
